DX Sat Nav 2005 Superb

Featured Replies

Before I spend ages trying to suss out how to program my Sat Nav, can it be set to divert around traffic problems (real time)? (Don't want to waste time trying to do this if it's not possible!)

I had a quick look at this a few months ago, but gave up after a short time :o

Only if you have a TMC enabled disc and the TMC unit installed in the car and then only on Motorways.

Sorry - what's a TMC enabled disk? How will I know if this is enabled or not? The Sat Nav unit itself has a button at the bottom right which has an arrow going round something - is this for diversions?

Example pic I nicked off google images:

The disk in mine is a "Blaupunkt 2006 DX Navigation CD"

If it has TMC than it will have a TMC logo on the disk.

TBH I think the Superb didn't have the TMC unit installed from the factory.

Thanks for the replies - looks like I should be able to do it - if I can get a TMC enabled disk - I've checked mine and it looks like one of the cheaper ones. :(

I don't have TMC on my DX unit but I just use the bottom right button that calculates an alternative route if you hit traffic..........poverty model.........:thumbdwn:

So with the normal DX disk, if I have a route programmed in and I hit traffic, I can hit that button and it will calculate a different route? Think I'll try that on the way home this morning (once I know where I'm going!) to see what it does :D

Yep that's it mate, the logo on the button is a 'No entry' sign and then arrow diverts around it....

I have used it on a number of occasions and it has worked well, not too sure what the actual name of the button is though.....
