ipod options for my fabia

Featured Replies

Hi there could anyone help? I have just bought my first Skoda Fabia VRs and I now want to integrate my ipod touch into the car. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. I do not want to particularly use an fm transmitter as I have not been very impressed with thise route in previous cars,

Cheers, Ian

why not just buy a stereo with an aux input socket? i got a sony stereo last yr for £119 but think theyre cheaper in halfords now. basically buy a lead to connect ipod (or better mp3 players ;)) to head unit and away you go. only problem is the lead getting in the way but i used cable clips to tack the cable into the drivers footwell. skoda do do sum accessories but way to overpriced when you can buy a better, cheaper, funkier alternative.

I got one of these, About a half hour to fit and no complaints. 3.5mm jack lead routed out through the cubby. Lets you keep the OEM look

Connects2 CTVSKX001 - Aux Adapter - Skoda on eBay, also, Terminals Cabling, In-Car Entertainment GPS, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Dec-07 11:45:31 GMT)

What control do you have, if any, of the MP3 player through the HU with one of these???

Also is it just a case of removing the HU to fit or does a large portion of dash have to come off too???

Cheers

Just volume, But for thirty odd quid it's a compromise I'm willing to live with:thumbup:

Just the H/U needs to come out, Only a ten minute job (once you've got the H/U out) :D

The adaptor fits snugly in behind the switch blanks above the H/U
