Post Office Broadband - help required (for the mother-in-law)

Featured Replies

So what about usr/pass settings. Do the post office jobs have them pre-configure'd ?

Goochie... you have tried setting everything to DHCP havn't you ?

I think they set it up/lock it to your phone line once connected and it pops up on their radius server. It's how our Cisco boxes worked when I was involved with trialing ADSL with cash machines.

Well went round yesterday, turned on the PC and it went straight on the web  It seems that waiting 24hrs with the modem connected is the key - despite the instructions saying it would be fine after just 5 mins.

Obviously I diddnt tell the mother-in-law that it worked that easily - she now thinks I fixed it and I'm great
