What is maxidot?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of trading in my fabia for an Octavia and have seen a lot of referances to Maxidot.

Sorry if it seems a dumb question but what is it? Is it just a trip comuter with more features? Does it only come with Sat nav? Is it standard on some models?

Maxidot is standard on the L&K models, but can be specified for other ranges. It sits between the tacko and speedo, but instead of using just the top half of the panel, it uses all of the panel. It also enables you to customise the car to your own preferences, such as auto-locking doors; adjusting the coming/leaving home lights, etc.

Mac

It also gives you a clearer and more 'high-tech' display for the trip computer functions. plus thinks like a 'picture' of the car with doors open and shut as appropriate.

Very well worth the £90 (?) option price on non L&K models; it sets off the dash display a treat.

A search for 'maxidot' will reveal all ;)

also tells you what is wrong when something goes wrong and good if you have a vag bluetooth kit connected ;)

Bottom line:

GET THE MAXIDOT!!!!!:D

My Vrs has maxidot but I'm not aware of its 'thinks like a picture' ability. What does this function provide? ;)
