Pipercross Pannel Filters

Featured Replies

Depends which one you have.I have the do not oil version.I have PP1389 dry filter which is sais no oil.

I ran a Pipercross filter on my car for a while well over 40k

I removed my filter and put a new one on

In them times I never once oiled it

It came out at service times and then just removed bigger debis the shook

Never cleaned it , when it did need cleaning I replaced it as they are so cheap

I have another one in , never been oiled and still happy with the response of it and also better fuel economy

Thanks, I have the PP1389. It doesn't say anything about whether it's dry or oiled on the box. I'll just stick it in there. Thanks guys.

As far as i am aware the only aftermarket filter that doesn't need oiling at all is the DNX panel filter.

I tried both k&n and DNX and decided to keep the dnx one. I have it for more than a year now.

The car feels the same as with k&n and that is just a very tiny bit better than with vag oem filter.

The only advantage for me is that i just pull it out time to time , wash it well according to the instructions and put it back.

So that might be a solution for one that doesn't want any oiling.

cheers
