Samsung Photo Frame - HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi

Santa brought the above (model SPF-72V). Unfortunately I can't open the downloaded File Manager because my pc comes up with a very long error message which I don't understand! The heading is 'Microsoft .NET Framework...Unhandled exception has occurred........Error 8007042.... creating an instance of the COM component with CLSD.'

It continues ' To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.'

So what do I do? If anyone can explain in the simplest of terms, then I would be most grateful! I'm using XP and have downloaded .Net Framework 3.0 as recommended in the instruction book.

Thanks.

Not a helpful error message! What version of Windows?

Hi Rob

Thanks for your assistance. Now downloaded .Net Framework 3.5 and reloaded the Frame manager from the disk. Alas, still no joy! I've Googled the error number but no results.

Any more ideas?

Cheers

Completley different problem but throwing up the same code, this forum suggests a registry fix here : desktop problem dunno if that may help.

What is surprising tho is googling "Error 8007042" and this thread is already google indexed 2nd

Hmm, not sure what to suggest. Do you have access to another PC to see if you get the same issue?

Alas, no other pc available. I'll see if anyone has thoughts overnight - getting a bit tired of trying to get it sorted all day today!

I see this post is now in top position on Google!

Thanks again for you help

Now in top position - at least it was a minute ago! Thanks for your idea - I'll give it a go.

Hi

Still stuck and ageing rapidly. Here is the full 'fault' report. Anyone know what is happening and how the issue can be resolved?

Thanks

Had a look at the manual, have you got Windows Media Player 11 installed?

Yes, thanks, WMP is there.

Did a scan late last night which read 'Missing or Invalid path. The Key Active Setup under HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft contains a bad path JITSetupPage for the value file://%system%\web\iejit.htm

Now if I knew what that meant I might be able to do something about it! Or not, as the case may be..........

Thanks for your thought
