Control windows by the key, remotely

Featured Replies

My sister bought a new Fabia last month and it had the folding key/3 button remote control just like my Octavia Mk II.

Unfortunately, she cannot use the remote control to open/close the windows like I do on the Octavia, by keeping the button pressed, although it does work when the key is inserted in the driver's door and held in the unlock or lock position.

I called the dealer and they told me it's not something that can be enabled by them, its an Octavia/Superb feature only, not available for the Fabia/Roomster.

It seems like a silly limitation to me and I honestly cannot believe that it's incapable of doing it. If anyone knows of a way to do this apart from installing an alarm with a suitable module, please let me know!

I have the same problem. If not possible to enable that in a service with VAG-COM, maybe the new fabia has the same central comfort module as the last generation. In this case we can use this feature to upgrade the Hella module: kvw100 - wonderful autowindow programmer The usability depends on the order code of the comfort module. I ask my dealer to read this with VAG-COM when I go to the first oil change service in this month.

So, is it compatible/has anyone tried this on the new Fabia? Seems to be perfect!

Just done some research, the update module has the same pin setup as the new fabia, but the socket on the fabia is square, not like the module which is this shape, see here,

has anyone used VAG-COM with the new fabia, is the plug shape an issue if the pin settings are the same?
