Hello people joined today but i am not new to skoda. My wife has had a Fabia vrs for 3 and 1/2 years bought from new.......superb little car:)

My question relates to the Octavia vrs mk1.

I am hoping to buy one over the next few weeks and was wondering if anyone has had cruise control fitted retrospectively to their car. I know the dealers can do it but what was the cost?

Also i have driven two Octavia vrs's so far in my search and have to say i find the performance rather underwhelming so who is the best for a custom remap?

Hi and welcome. I drove quite a few Octavia 1 VRS before buying mine. Some went well and others seemed lifeless. The ones with more miles seemed to go better, less than 40k seemed like they wanted more excitement. Mine has done 123k on a 02plate and has been mildly tuned by AMD. It does go very well. A remap and Milltek exhaust did the job there. If that sounds like the trick I plan to sell mine soon. Let me know.

welcome along, i beleive vrstu can retro fit the cruise control.
