repair and paint alloys

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a couple of alloys that have been lightly kerbed over the years and have decided it would be good to get them repaired (at last). However, am very tempted to get them all sprayed black/gun metal at same time. Can anyone recommend a good company in the Bristol area?

cheers

I've found that when using some of the big name refurbishers that they charge a hell of a lot for one alloy wheel but not that much more to do a full set. So if you're going for a colour change then it makes quite a bit of financial sense rather than doing just one. Pristine did the wheels on my MK5 Golf and did a very good job so I can recommend them if you want a colour change, they will have a local agent near you who'll take care of the tyre removal and re-fit and packaging/dispatching.

I know it's a bit far from Brizzle but there's a very good chap in Exeter who will do a wheel for about £50 inc VAT and tyre fitting depending on how bad the damage is of course.

Thanks for that, I'll look them up!

my local alloy wheel repairers who also powdercoat wheels charge £40 a wheel bloody good job too - did an amazing job on a totally knackered pair of BBS wheels I got. Name of company is Planet Wheels - based just outside of Cannock in Staffordshire.

Do you have the name of the chap in Exeter... The first owner was a little careless (honest) and I've been looking at getting the fronts cleaned up.
