What is she trying to tell me?

Featured Replies

Pulling away from traffic lights, turning right, taking it really easy, engines warm, full tank of fuel, handbrake off, ASR switched off and it starts beeping at me

Like when you get in the car, before you put your seatbelt on, but a slightly different tone. And it didn't stop until i stopped the car (approx 1 min later).

Any ideas?

No warning lights, visual cheak around the car and all looks fine. Drove off again, beeping didn't return and has been fine since.

I believe both Octavias and fabias can sense bulb failure and other electrical problems and the bleeper will sound then. I read this on a long term Fabia test in Autocar mag, the rear high level brake light developed an intermitent problem and the bleeper drove the driver to dispair. It might be worth getting a volunteer and checking all your lights. Also, could it possibly be a low oil warning?

Good luck!

Oil will check in the morning, bulbs too.

Doesn't or shouldn't it have warning lights for bulb failure and low oil level.

Are you sure the handbrake wasn't slightly up? Might have been up just enough to trigger the warning, but not actually brake you...

It should have a warning bulb aswell, but The Autocar driver reported no warning lamp but just a loud bleep.
