Featured Replies

Hi All,

First dry (ish) day to have a play.......

Right to start with the car doesn't have many swirls so I did not correct the paint I just added a sealant and wax with the G220.......

Process

Wash with Meg's hyper

Dried using Aldi MF Bath towel and LT

Car was clayed under a month ago so I just went straight to sealant

Chemical Guy's Wet Mirror Finish applied with Sonus SFX-3 pad.....

All the gear.....

I bought the Menz Kit, Good Kit but the pads are quite firm...... I'm going to buy some more sonus pads for finishing products......

The menz kit would be great at removing swirls but remember use the least aggressive and move up........HTH:thumbup::thumbup:

Does around £150 seem to be about the best price for the G220, or has anyone done better?

I hear the US version (G110) is $150

You would be correct.

Megs worked out how much an imported PC and a transformer was and priced it there at £150

The US G110 is $150, so it shows quite how much we are being bent over.

Even allowing for overheads etc I would have said £99 for the G220 or £130-£150 with pads and polishes would have been a fair price.

That is the main reason I haven't actually bought one and probably won't for the foreseeable future.

Hmmmm - I'm off to the States again in a couple of weeks!

At $149 for a G110, I reckon I can buy a transformer and still be in pocket. Am I right in thinking £40 - 50 for one?

Still bloody annoying how much we get ripped off in this country. All the Megs products in the US are around half UK price.

I think £50 is about right, have a look at screwfix and treat that as a max price, just don't forget you have to potentially deal with import tax :)

Anyway everyone knows $1 = £1, so the prices must be fair :rolleyes:

Autobrite have them on offer at £141

Don't forget your 110V extension lead too.

Unwind the extension reels when using them, otherwise you could be in for a surprise.
