WM acting up on vista ultimate and IE7

Featured Replies

When viewing vids in IE7, I get a 404 screen. Yet I can open streams fine.

I know The URLs are OK, as I can manually open in media player. FF seems fine.

I havent changed anything, and have no idea when this started acting up as I dont normally use IE7. Def havent changed any settings in either IE7, media player or vista that would affect anything like this.

Any one come across this before?

I've remade WM default player, ticked connect to net in WM and a host of other things found on the net, but nothing seems to work - so I've changed everything back to how it was.

I have seen this before, but cant remember how i fixed it. its something to do with active-x plugins in IE..

check out tools/internet options/programs/manage addons, and check that theres a couple of listings for WMP... i have three all enabled

I have only one WM player entry (checked all options for "show plugins that...") and that's enabled and currently used by IE.

I can only assume somethings missing or been deleted somehow.

If you can recall a fix, that'd be grand as it's driving me bonkers.
