What discs? standard?

Featured Replies

looks like i need new discs:mad: & tax this month:mad::mad:!

had very loud moaning sound under braking from high speed on way home tonight so guess i need to spend money and get some discs.

only thing is they must not affect my insurance. which ones would you get?

and do i pads with sensors?

Are they definitely screwed? Scored, big lip on them or something?

no just extremely noisy when braking, ill take a picture in a few minutes to make sure though.

Could be something else, even something as silly as a stone trapped against the 2 surfaces.

if the disc is scored, then its not ideal for use.

New standard type discs are quite cheap - i've just priced a set up with my local motorfacter and a set of fronts and rears only comes to £150.

1mm at most id say

hmmmm.. are any of the pads close to metal? (ie run down?)

none of them are close all got fair bit left. only other thing i could think was bearings but i dont get it at any other times.

Those discs look like they've got very hot!

Be careful as the inner pads on my fronts were fooked and the outers which I could see looked fine, and the warning light hadn't come on

no never . must of been like that when i bought it.

well they seem to have stopped doing it currently maybe it needed some pad matierial burning off the disk. ill be changing the pads asap as i want to try mintex extreme pads. disks are going to be done in the summer alloing with a VERY long list of things to do.
