first time on here, i bought a skoda octavia 1.8T elegance about two months ago, the engine broke, (bottom end is rattling, smokes hard, probable ring damage, probable internal damage) so am now sat with a car i just loved to drive, and a quote of over £3000 to get it back on the road!!:thumbdwn: Would love any advise on what to do with this car??

nice suggestion TT, but was more thinking along the lines and getting a little money back for it, everything else on it is top notch!! four new tires on alloys, CD multi changer, i just need to be directed to the best place on this site for getting shot with a little change in my pocket!!

Welcome, why not try a breakers and ask if they have an engine you could swap???
