In short, I need two new clips for my intercooler on the new VRS.

The connectors are the metal-ended hose terminators (nothing to do with arnie!) which push into the intercooler port spigots.

The clips are metal spring U-shaped affairs.

I have ETKA (less than 12 months old I guess) and have found the part easily enough - and the part number allied to the BMN engine code.

The part number checks out as correct according to the dealer using my chassis number too.

Thing is - the dealer has supplied the clips and they are the wrong size by a good 25% (too small).

The bag in which they came from VAGs parts warehouse is the right part according to ETKA.

My dealer parts guys are good blokes and very helpful however they just wont bang the table with the warehouse people to get them to do a check for me.

I even suggested they ask the warehouse to compare the supposed right clips with a brand new intercooler which they must have in stock.

I have even found the german company on the web who make the parts for VAG - called HENN Gmbh, and found a technical drawing of the connector and correct clip.....clearly VAG are sending out the wrong part !!

Can anyone suggest a way of querying this direct with VAG group?

How about Skoda customer services? anyone have an email address?

Kinda sorted the symptom of the problem.......the dealer ordered the whole intercooler and we removed the right clips !
