Before trouble you guys I've done a forum search for the answer to my problem but no success.

The 'hatchback open' red warning light is constantly lit but the hatch is closed.

The problem was obviously intermittent at first because when locked and alarm activated the alarm kept going off every so often. Now the warning light is on all the time the alarm doesn't activate at all (no flashing indicator lights) when car is locked by remote key.

I've fiddled with the gubbins around the hatchback catch but I'm not sure the problem is there. Is there a seperate weighted sensor for the hatchback open/closed light behind the trim of the hatch door itself?

The switch is in the latch, I believe.
