New member, new Vrs

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm Richard. I'm new to Briskoda membership, but not the website. I'm also not new to Skoda cars. We had our first and second new and the latest one under one year old.

1. 52 Fabia 1.9 Tdi elegance; kept it for 60k and 3 yrs. Chipped it with Upsolute (Simon Coe) at about two years.

2. 55 Fabia Vrs with every option you could get - black paint a bad option though; murder to keep clean. Got that chipped by Simon immediately as my wife was keeping up with me in the 1.9 tdi on the way back from picking it up! Kept that only for 5k and sold it as we were having a baby and it was the second car (a bit more cash in it than we would have liked). A few problems with that car but an absolute beast when chipped. Ask me if you you want more details!

3. Bought it in December 2007; March 07 Octavia Vrs estate petrol. It's silver (like the blue more but it's second hand so you can't argue), has parking sensors, climate, 18" alloys, maxidot and cruise. Wanted Xenons - miss them from the last Vrs but what the hell. Just bought an MFD2 sat nav unit on ebay and waiting for that before I fit it. Car needs chipping though - quick but not like the last one low down. I think my Fabia Vrs would have been able keep up with it too - I wish I still had both!

If anyone's interested I've got lots of photos of all three, and many more cars I've had in my youth! Can't upload a photo at the moment because the limit is too low - mine are all about 2.5MB. Can anyone offer advice about this?

Happy New Year to everyone!

Richard
