Hi all

Car is going in on monday regarding door seals and a disturbing noise. Now before saying anything, i will just state that when it comes to cars and diagnosing noises (including where they are actually coming from:O) i am about as much use as a 99 year old grandmother whose hearing aid batteries have gone flat

Nevertheless any tips before i leave the car with them would be appreciated:

Car is left hand drive. On the passenger side (right) there is an occasional noise (1 - 2 times per hour) that sounds roughly like a baking tray "warping" in an oven (you know the almost "clang" sound of metal switching shape due to temperature change). The noise sounds like it is coming from around the door/frame area (but again i could be way out). The noise usually occurs during left hand turns and/or at speed when the suspension is loaded by an undulation. I should stress i cannot force the car to make the noise at will (i.e it doesn't happen everytime by recreating a certain set of conditions)

Any ideas welcome and i will now go and take some form of testosterone to make up for describing a noise on a car as being like something from the kitchen :eek::P:thumbup:

could be a suspension spring moving slightly on its seat , especially if it slightly rusty on the seat
