2 baby seats and Booster in Octy II Estate?

Featured Replies

Hi there all,

I'm looking into buying a new estate car for our ever increasing family and was wondering whether I can get a Booster (for 4yrs+), 1 child seat (aged 2) and a baby seat (<12months) in the back of the estate.

I guess I could go around to a Skoda garage and see but as the eldest isn't in the booster yet I'm really looking for advice for the future...

Just trying to avoid the mpv...

Any help much appreciated!

At a guess i'd say yes depending on the fact that the 12mths and 1 year old seats aren't the size of arm chairs:D

We've recently bought an Octavia II Estate for our ever-increasing family, which sounds uncannily similar to your's...

4 year old boy, 2 year old girl, 4 month old boy.

We previously had a Fabia Estate, which was a bit of a squash (mainly due to the 2-year old seat having to take the middle position due to only a lap seat belt there), though just about possible, but the extra 10cms or so in the Octavia makes the difference - still not masses of room, mind, but with an iso-fix seat for the 2-year old in position 1, the 4-year old's booster seat in position 2 (middle, now with full 3-point seat belt) and the rear-facing baby seat in position 3, it's much more manageable.

The iso-fix is a permanent fixture so no problems with that one, the booster seat is slightly non-central due to the iso-fix seat size, and the baby seat fits fine in the 3rd position.

Main probelm is getting the seat belts clicked in for the booster and baby-seat

- requires escapology fingers, but gets easier with experience (only had the car for just over a month now).

So, not ideal, but once they're in everyone's happy, and it saves us buying an MPV for a few years (or until Skoda design one other than the Roomster !).

Good luck.

Thanks both of you, esp. willscarlet. You're right, your's is an eerily similar situation and great to get some advice from someone who's a few steps ahead of me.

Looks as if it's thumbs up and we're going to join the Skoda brigade...
