Also my drivers side electric window is jamming when i wind it up and makes horrible clonking noises does anyone have an idea whats up with it??

er..........it's buggered :D

sorry, i don't actually know, its just late, i'm tired and i can't sleep. i'm not saying briskoda will send me to sleep its just that........i'll get my coat :o

Alex, squirt of fairy liquid in the runners would help.

If that doesn't work, take the door card off and check the runners and guides are OK - if so, it probably means a new window lift motor/gearbox.

Similar problems to one on the wifes fabia (6 months old car), took to dealers and it was down to a problem wit hthe actual window guide.

It put a loading on the window to the point that on opening it the window operation slowing noticeably on opening and closing.

Washing up liquid in the runners helped but didn't cure the problem.
