Set of for work this morning in my Octavia Rs and a orange warning light came on after 5mins pulled over checked in the manual found its the engine electronics/emissions light took the car to my dealer who plugged a laptop into it and says it is a faulty temperature sensor.Has anyone else come across the same problem? The dealer says they will replace the sensor and hopefully that should sort it,the car seems to be running ok computer doesnt register any other faults.

Faulty temperature sensors are not uncommon on Skodas (and the rest of the VAG range). The one on my Felicia was speedily diagnosed and changed while I waited at the dealer. (WJH Motors - Riseley )

I had to go back to my dealer twice 'cause they ordered the wrong one twice.

The infamous orange light. It can bring 1001 different kinds of misery from temp sender to cambelt sensors. How did we ever manage without them?
