Travelling Abroad - Spare Bulb Kit

Featured Replies

Need to get a spare bulb kit for my 2006 Octavia and have found a set of Philips Vision Care sets as follows:

Suitable for Skoda Octavia 2004 onwards, the Philips Vision Care Spare Bulbs Kit is essential for travelling in the UK and Europe.

The carrying of a spare car bulbs kit is mandatory in certain parts of Europe, including France, the Netherlands, and Spain, and is recommended in all other European countries.

Make sure that you can replace a worn out car light bulb immediately during the course of a journey to ensure that you arrive safely at your destination without having to stop at a garage.

The Philips VisionCare Spare Car Bulb set, not only contains a collection of the most important bulbs for your car, (Headlight Bulb, Brake Light, Indicator Light, Side Light), but also a listing of the emergency phone numbers for all European countries.

Supplied in kits for cars fitted with H1 (448), H4 (472), or H7 (499) headlamp bulbs.

My question is, what do I go for? In my manual, it says front headlight low beam is H7 and main beam H1.

Any ideas?

Cheers

None at all?

I just ordered some from the dealers for my superb.

If your dipped beam is H7, I'd go for the H7 kit, as I imagine you'll be using dipped a lot more than main. You could always get a single spare H1 bulb too if you wanted. :)

I went to GSF got one of their kits for not much and that had a H7 and IIRC they put a H1 in too when i paid a few £ for it.
