Ford Racing Puma price to pay?

Featured Replies

What sort of price would you pay for a Ford Racing Puma on a 2000 x plate with 67000 miles on the clock, my dads pal is considering one as he has seen it for under £6000.

The garage is legit and is well known for selling 911 and scoobies in this part of scotland.

Cheers

Glass' reckon on:

Ford Puma Racing Ltd Edn

1.7 Petrol 3-door Coupe

5 Speed Manual Front Wheel Drive

Year: 2000 X

Mileage: 67,000

Part-exchange Price:

Excellent condition:

£4270

Average condition:

£3700

Below average condition:

£3200

So even if you add a bit on for a dealer sale, then you should be easily under 6k...

Cheers Chris, I was looking the now on piston heads and that price does seem about right at what people are selling them at.

It might be worth a PM to PussCat, she's a Puma owner and is part of the Ford Puma 'scene' Should be able to give you a few pointers as to what to look out for.

will do mate

expensive brake pads IIRC

does go well though, quite a rare car as a lot have been turned into rally kitcars i think

Check the head gasket :)

Yep, give Caz a shout :iagree:

Would be something I'd check over extra carefully - pretty rare and something to be increasingly bought on condition and history, rather than mileage and sticker price alone.

I like them a lot though

Steve

did someone call?

what you should be looking at - history, history, and history!

If you can tell me what 'number' the FRP is, I might know of it lol....

True, parts can be expensive - and I think that's why the prices have dropped a bit of late :( - but I've had mine over 6 years and I still love it :D

Any specific questions, just pm me.... also, have a look over on Pumapeople (Powered by Invision Power Board) or Racing Puma :: :: Home or Ford Racing Puma - Racing Puma Owners Club - Tickford - there's useful info on all of those sites :)

And does it have a vanity plate on it?

V*FRP i encountered this a few months back young guy driving, And the nuts were well and truly ragged off of it (We were in the Ignis so no competition)

Pusscat, I will find out the number for you from my dads pal as I believe he was looking at the car today and get back to you.

Cheers
