i think it may be next month. i have bought hids this month. intercooler b4 or after re map?

You may as well get the uprated silicone hoses while your at it ;).

If custom remap, get the intercooler first.

Generic either way round as it won't matter

The silicone hoses will be a must!

Definatly get the remap after the intercooler.

Your going to wait to buy it??? what if they run out!?!

yeh im gonna get a generic one of angry dog when i have the money. was thinking of going back to jap cars but i like the fact you can interchange vw n audi parts

No, i reckon you should get a bigger one

Its huge and looks the dogs

Key to FMIC success is decent pipework and fitment IMO. You don't really want to be cutting bits off the crash bar and/or bumper. Well I wouldn't want to anyway....

im wondering if you can buy pipework separately? im not sure what is needed tbh just throwing ideas around

Oh yeah, you can buy the bits up. Have a look at Samco stuff. It's just knowing what you need really, and coming up with a logical and efficient method.

Checking out the Forge stuff might help too :)

yeh my thinking is that is i buy the piepwork separately then i can pick and choose the size of the intercooler which i think will be best fit. i dont want to be tied down to the small one off ebay only to change it because its too small

thats a great spot. will keep an eye out on their site. going to have to find the pipes n bends now

Is there really a benefit in fitting an uprated intercooler on the standard turbo? Surely the standard IC is efficient to run even a zorsted and remapped car with the standard turbo fitted.

They help keep inlet temps down better than standard due to being mounted on the front.Cooler inlet temps = more power especially in summer.

We're working with a well known company to develop a fmic that will require no modification to the bumper crash bar, but still be suitable for power up to 400bhp.

I personally do not like the idea of cutting the crash bar.

Im not a fan of the eBay intercoolers - you dont know what you're getting really!

Will the prices be inflated such like Jabba or sensible such like Ebay? By the way just out of curiosity do you work for a tuning company or the like? A few of your answers that i have spotted would indicate yes:)
