Hi everybody

I'm having a power loss problem with my 51 plate fabia favorit 1.9TDI.:(

Its only when going uphill or overtaking, is fine on the flat.

I've done the obvious things, changed fuel filter, checked timing belt, redex, diesel magic, ect, clutch is fine. Oil is clean, I service regular.

Has been suggested that it could be pump but i'm doubtful as I said it's ok on the flat.

Anybody any ideas what to look for next?:o

I'm no novice and have a few ideas like MAF and brake servo pipe but would appreciate any feedback from you. Thanks.

Hello and welcome. Sorry I can't help you on your problem, but hope you get it sorted soon. If someone doesn't come up with a solution try a search or start a new thread in the Fabia section.

Welcome to Briskoda

As Captain Scarlet said, you will get a better response if you post your question in the relevant section. Hope you get it sorted :)

Hiya. I'd check the MAF, by disconnecting it. Not like that costs anything.

However, I suspect the problem is a weak spring in the turbocharger boost bipass valve, causing it to open too early when you're on full throttle.
