on my way to work in the skoda only useing it as i was meeting someone after work stoped in the skoda dealer on the way for a few bits and bobs went back out and the car wouldnt start lost power to the starter so it is still there now.

will update when i get more info!

Is yours the '07 plate mate? If so, it looks tremendous. I've been interested to see a Furby with a blackened grille alongside a bog standard one. Am liking the look of it!

Mine's got a blacked out grille too. I think there's a guide to spraying it sumwhere on here in the technical guides.

yup thats mine the 07 one now with just over 20k on the clock hope they can fix it by tomorow it would be nice to have it back for the weekend

Mines not next to a honda dealer but the dealer chatham's also sells honda's 2 mins along the road, thats what he started selling then bought the skoda franchise for edinburgh, but don't mention the name chatham's to my dad. 30 years ago he went to trade in his skoda for a civic and was told to leave the forecourt! How times change!

I broke down a good 5 miles from home and had to be towed home in shame by the indestructable hilux

tell you a funny story, when we signed the paperwork for the fabia, the focus I was driving refused to start outside the dealer, after 4 turns of the key it started but it felt funny as if it knew it was being traded in

The final time my clutch went, I was about 1/4 mile from my nearest dealer.

I got my mate out to drive it home using the clutchless shifting method. No way was I leaving it there - They'd not have the first idea I reckon... (of what to make of my car that is....)

i got the car back today (well yesterday if you look at the time of the post) all the prob was a wire broke to the sarter so had a nice drive home.

maby something to do with the harsher ride of the coilovers

I guess your car knew it was Home - everyone say "Aahhh...". Glad it's back at your home now, all happy again.

When doing a test drive in mine, I was told that the next turning brought us back to the garage, so not knowing the area, I saw the garage, indicated to turn in, and was advised "Not a good idea, that's the Peugeot garage" Ooops!

Mine's next to a Honda garage too, and opposite Halfords.

Funny thing - the Fabia they tried to sell me earlier in the month (they had a line of customers wanting it but I had first refusal, apparently) - it's still there with the same price on it. My g/f and I had quite a laugh at that one.

mine had the same problem on thursday, sod all when turned key, had to get skoda assist (RAC) out to it and he manage to do a temp repair till it goes in on monday to get sorted.

luckily i was at home so sat in the warmth till they came out.
