Hello to all Briskoda.net comunnity , i`ve runned across youre forum searching the answer to my problem.

I have a 2004 Fabia 1.2. Still the car works perfect but the the vag com problem came out when i formatted my laptop.

I bought an laptop from some one +an Vag Com interface. Every thing worked perfect until i `ve decided to format Windows 98` to an Xp` , after the format .... I decided to install the latest Vag Com software ,every thing worked perfect , in device manager i could see the interface when it was pluged it.

But when i plugged in to the car it started to show an error , "reading corupted" .

Decided to restart the laptop and then it showed a new device , "Serial Converter " , and also the interface was gone from the device manager. Installed a serial converter driver and from now on when i plug the interface in the laptop it shows in device manager but the progam won`t work.

Which version of vag-com did you download and is the cable genuine?

Hello , tnx for the fast replay . I am using a Hex-Usb+Canwith Vag Com 704.1 .

I suggest you contact Ross-Tech direct if you purchased from Ross-Tech or one of the distributors listed on their webpage. Else, contact your supplier.
