tyre dilemma

Featured Replies

hi all i need two new front tyres for my vrs, i've looked at loads of threads on here already and still don't have a clue , first one is weather to change up tp 225's?, second is, to put the new ones on the front or back? ( i'm only buying two )third, is which tyre? i have kleber hydraxer on the rear 205's with loads of tred on them ,i have looked at prices for f1's, proxies ,and klebers and thers not much in it, i would like to get the klebers and keep to same size and make but are they any good? they are the same price as the other two brands

can someone put me out of my mysery please its doing my head in !!!!

Hydraxers are OK.

Users are satisfied. reasonable testoutcomes.

about 89 euros in Holland.

dont go to 225 on 16" wheels and always put new ones on front

cheers mate think i might stick with the klebers it's a hell of a lot easier and there bound to be better than the nankangs i have on at the mo ,I'm not going to be pushing it to the limit anyway

does anyone else care to comment on kleber hydraxers

Goodyear F1 and Toyo T1-R recommended by most and Awesome GTI...I have used Eagle f1 for a long time with no probs they always win the tyre tests

IMO, because of the background research that I've seen on the subject, those statements are all rubbish!

That said, if you're fitting different sizes front and rear, the wider tyres must by law be on the rear.
