Any use for phone holder?

Featured Replies

Hello there everyone.

My Scout has, like every Octavia Scout I believe, Bluetooth. So, I always connect my cell phone via bluetooh, therefore, don't use the phone holder.

So, what can I do with the phone holder that comes with the Scout. Is there any universal holder adapter that I can buy and use it to hold either the cell phone, either a gps or a pda? Just something to hold, no connection to the car is needed...

Thanks if anyone has any idea.

Hi.

I've got an Octavia II with bluetooth and this mysterius holder. They intended to make an active holder to get more funcionality for the phone connection, and the idea was fairly good. Except that it seems they made it themselves and that they have to make the adapters for the phone themselves too. And the only adapters they had a year ago were made for oooooold phones...

So I made my own adapter. I made a plate that clips on the holder in the car, and bought an adapter for my phone and attached it to the plate. Works like a charm. I put the charger in the cigarette lighter outlet.

Sorry for the bad pictures, but the TyTn's camera isn't the best on the market :)

Great idea! I'll try for shure.

Thanks

At least you got some utility out of it!

I'dd remove it altogether, replace the trim it sits on and fit a much slimmer holder in place.

Seeing so much unnecessary black plastic agravates me.
