Featured Replies

I decided to barter with a seller on ebay and bought this. comes with a mass of leads which reqires sum modifying of the back of the din slot so you can tuck them all behind properly but hey for the price it is, its immense and i dont use that word often. together with my new install i did yesterday with my buddy. goes to show its not all about names if it does the job.

Looks nice.

What make is it and what sort of sound does it give.

Have been thinking about one of these??

Cheers

looks nice

depends if you are bothered about the software interface really.

looking at the pics it looks quite basic?

looks are always important. it functions very very well 50w x 4 channels. sounds great especially hooked upto my amp n subs now. just goin to get the front speakers sorted next then it will be one kick *** system.

the make is called beat 7 it retails at 299.99 and i got it for 158.49. its made in the same place as pioneer just without the brand name.

it does cd/mp3/dvd/tv/usb/ ipod ready/ sat nav/ separate sub pre out/ extra screen outputs/ car phone mute and the list goes on.

i like to balance quality and quantity. not just settle for a name and pay over the odds

Thats the same one I've been looking at on ebay. So its a Pioneer unit then? Hmm...back to ebay methinks

its made in the same place as pioneer just without the brand name.

Sorry mate, thast wrong. The beat 7 stuff is made at the factory in china that makes the headunits for halfords. The company is 4u electronics.

The new ripspeed dvd players are pretty reliable but the older ones were rubbish.

I hope the beat 7 ones are made on the same line as the newer ripspeed stuff.

it looks identical to a dv720 ripspeed so hopefully they are the new stuff

Looks nice that, liek it alot

mmmmmmmmmmm well im a happy bunny .

i like it too thanks

agreed with skudmissle the "made in the same factory as pioneer" is a common myth thrown about by halfords employees to boost sales.

But looks ok.

Personally I wouldnt own one as I cant see the point in having a DVD player in the car unless you do a lot of long journeys with kids, or if its a showcar.

nice mate want a nice screen or headunit for my fabia can i jsut ask i know its goin off topic on that pic

whats the EPC light mean showing up on your dash

Cheers

i beleive it was just one of the lights as i only had my ingition on . i beleive its the traction control. basically the i too the pic quickly before they all dissappeared

Thats the same as I had in my fabia - I think you have the wrong faceplate for it as there seems to be a gap.

Sorry if this wasn't fully installed - Just stating that there is a gap.

Looks good - Love that style.

i think my camera was just too good and the flash picked up the cage. thats the one that came with it. you cant see it in normal light

just been to halfords and theree newest ripspeed 720 is just like mine and they have a price tag of 249.99 on it. im still 90 quid in pocket if they are the same

I just bought a warfedale/venturer unit from Argos for Β£99.99. Decent sound and decent quality.

Looks ok fitted, just having to made space behind the dash for all the wires! And it works with my parrot!!

I guess its not touch screen?

looks funky though

I've just taken mine out, as even with all the cables tidied, the unit just sticks out far too much for my liking.

Its up for grabs. Its a decent bit of kit, just dosen't look right in my Superb.
