Mud Flaps for the VRS?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm trying to find a set of mud flaps for the VRS? Are these available or are there any others that I can fit. I don't want to spend a fortune tho!

Thanks,

Rik

Im interested in some rear mud flaps as well

Fabia fronts are a straight fit, The rears require a modification to the bumper

I bought the Rally flaps from the company on ebay. They are easy to fit and look good too. Plus they work better than the skoda ones. I had the Skoda ones fitted before and they still let mud splash up the sides and rear. However the rally type ones look subtle and stop all the mud splatter you normally get.!

HAHAH!

I have genuine ones fitted to my Fabia VRS...

Not the best pic in the world!

I put those Rallyflapz on my Octy vRS as I was sick off all the rubbish getting on to the bodywork. My cars blue and I got the black rallyflapz. They look a more discreet than you might think, and can be trimmed to be a bit narrower if you would wish. They have grown on me.

Pics please! :D:thumbup:

I will take some pics and post them. Mine are on a silver car and are black with the vrs logos on them. They are very subtle!

As said the standard flaps will fit with some mods, there are a few threads on here about what you need to do, but it's a simple job and it only takes about 20 mins to fit the lot.

However, they are about as useful as a catflap on a submarine and they won't stop the crap getting all over the back of the car (This is more due to the shape of the car than the wheels)

The Rally Flapz [tm] might be a bit better but they can't defy the laws of physics.

Any pics of the black rally flaps on a black fabia vrs anyone?

Here's a picture of my octy with the rallyflapz fitted. I think they look quite discreet, and would be even more so on a black car.

I'm sure I heard golf mark 4 rear mudflaps are a direct fit.

Buy standard ones from Skoda for non-estate Mk1 Fabia.

Trim down the bumper at the wheel-arch side, fit them, job done. :)

Fit the standard ones and mod the inner of the bumper with a dremmel the rears are a sound fit once youve done this and look ace,its a piece of ****

Cut the mudflaps with a stanley knife you monkeys, not the bloody bumper:rofl:

Soak the mudflaps in a bucket of hot water to soften them up then cut away with a stanle knife, goes through em like butter

Urm - bumper is the recommended one for cutting, actually ;)

Believe me, I had them on my vRS for 70k without any problems that way :D

That is just stupid though, cut your bumper of the mudflaps??

what if you change your mind??

Then it doesnt even show - the only thing you are cutting is the double layer of bumper that the vRS one has compared to standard. No metal is cut, no damage is done, nothing bad happens.

All you do is get rid of the doubled up section where it hinders the install.

It is not visible as 'damage' even after removing the mudflaps.

Cutting the mudflaps works too, but I am glad I didnt as they were moved to a non-vRS without any modifications when I crashed mine ;)
