ovtavia II and mfd2

Featured Replies

hi! I live in greece and i have an octavia ii 1.8tsi or else as we say in greece octavia 5 1.8tsi. I have a problem. my car came to me with a mp3 stream and i want to install mfd2. i search and i found on e-bay some mfd2 navi for skoda.

after that i went to a skoda seller and i ask him if he can install my new mfd2 to my car without problems. his answer was "you can not install this because it is not collaborate with your car's brain* "

please if anyone know somethimg about that , i want him to write his opinion.

*brain= i dont know how to say in english the main part of the car that control everything on the car's engine and electricity.

the "brain" is the ECU - electronic control unit.

it sounds like your dealer has no idea what he's on about.

it should be a direct swap, as far as I know.

As someone who has done the swap I can say it is a ten minute job.

All of the information you seek is here in VRStu's website.

Good Luck.;)
