i have the chance of a 2007 octy vrs in race blue for£14k it is registered in feb 2007 on a 56 plate,it has 18" alloys ,cruise, rear elec windows, jumbo box, rear parking sensors,it is absolutely spotless oh and has only done 2,400 miles from new,is this a good deal?

only thing was only got offered £3 k for my 52 plate octy vrs,has elec sunroof, rear elec windows, cruise, rear parking sensors sensitive wipers, has done 78,000 miles but engine was replaced 3,000 miles ago with a new one from skoda, due to a oil pump failure, was a bit dissapointed by that price,am i being realistic?

Price for the new car seems pretty good to me  but it looks like they are screwing you on your trade in :thumbdwn: get that up a bit and you've got yourself a good deal imho.

There is only a certain amount of money in a deal, too much on one end means not so much on the other.

Bottom line is, do you want it and can you afford it.

Take the car at 14k but tell them you'll sell yours privately. Defo worth more IMO.

whats the deal with servicing for the mk2?,how much does it cost?,should i try to haggle a few free services, or will they tell me where to go?

I've just been quoted £139 for a first service. Also was quoted £240

At 19k it should have had its first service so it should be Ok for another 15k - 20k.
