This week and next

Having recently bought an iPod and having got completely hacked off with using an FM transmitter, I decided it was about time I upgraded the head unit in my vRS and, while I was at it, find a better way of mounting both my phone and sat nav.

So, one Alpine CDE-9871R is now fitted and the Brodit Nokia E90 holder, Garmin Nuvi mount and iPod Classic cradle will be fitted once they all arrive.

The stereo sounds great - much more control over the bass and the sound from the iPod is superb.

And next week, I'm off up to York to get my leather interior fitted at Seat Surgeons. I can't wait!
