Vacuum pipe - possible alternative?

Spent most of yesterday fitting my TIP and Carbonio, and all went smoothly other than a couple of minor snags.

One of these is that the TIP appears to have moved the position of the DV, to the extent that the original vacuum hose that mounts to the top of the DV now won't fit without being stretched loads.

I was looking for some replacement hose, and found some ruber fuel hose - is this a suitable alternative to the standard rubber vacuum hose?
