How Re-Mappable and Can it be lowered?

Featured Replies

Getting seriously tempted to but a MK2 Octavia VRS Estate i have seen fro sensible money but i want to know how re-mappable the TFSI engine is i.e.what sort of BHP/lb/ft increases i can expect and if there are noticeable "driving"gains.

Also,is anyone (Eibach in particular)doing any springs yet for the Estate(don't know if they would be different to the hatch)?

Got my eye on some wheels for it,but need the important questions answered first!!

i have a TFSI and had mine remapped by REVO:thumbup: and the car totaly changes, much more responsive & alot quicker. the guy said that car can go upto 240 bhp with stage one remap but simpsons in preston had a white tfsi with full miltek exhaust and stage two remap and they said it was 285bhp (hard to belive) but i went out in that car and it was very rapid & scary.:eek::eek: traction control light was constantly lit. restricting the massive power.

Several on here have eibach pro springs which will go with standard dampers but most have the Koni FSDs too.

You'll get around 235bhp from a stage I remap despite what any of the tuning companies claim, they all try and out do each other with wild claims of ridiculously high bhp figures which are just not achievable BUT on the positive side you will benefit from a healthy increase in torque, more than enough to transform the power delivery

There is one tried and tested route for the suspension which is Koni FSD dampers and Eibach springs which are compatable with the estate vRS. There is a group but currently running which is worth considering, see here.

Try also using the search function, there have been plently of discussion threads before on both subject matters.
