AET Turbos DV kit VAG 1.8T 20v

Featured Replies

Heres the pictures of the new dual port DV kit that has been developed for the VAG 1.8T 20V. The kit allows the ECU to recieve a signal from the recirculation, and then vents to atmosphere. The kit has been fitted to Leons, Golfs, and my Octy RS.

Throttle response slightly quicker, and as soon as the throttle closes the dv vents as it's right by the inlet manifold.

My WRC wing finally finshed and fitted.

Anyone interested in the kit can pm me for more info.

Looks great - was it difficult to fit ???

and does it make a nice loud "Woosh" ??

You don't happen to plan to come to the midlands meet by any chance? I'm sure there are quite a few people interested in seeing (and hearing) it !

That pipe that goes into the inlet manifold looks like it has pretty much a 90 degree right angle in it? That can't flow very well surely?

its a DV dont think flow rate is that paramount.... - the DV relocation thing is popular in th estate but this looks a neater kit.... wish i hadnt just spent loads on a new DV:rolleyes:

No not that pipe Paul! Look at the inlet pipe which comes up from the intercooler, it goes through pretty much a right angle before going into the manifold

First pic, very bottom left hand corner.

see what you mean but that pipe is not exactly straight as stock...

Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper to buy the 'wooshy sound' gizmo to get the same effect?

or eat more beans?

Other than the sound, not sure how this can make any difference?

(Do we file this with the blue washer jets and bonnet vents?)

Now now Ian - noise does add a lot of enjoyment to the driving experience for many people, myself included.

(not sure about this mod though ;) )

Barryboy alert! ;)

Next you'll be wanting a Flammer Kit and neons. ;)

I agree, noise is nice, but I wouldn't pay money just to get it without a performance increase.

how can someone who lives with 4 women say this....;)

It's real simple to fit. The best way to fit it is by taking out the headlight (2 minute job). Then it just replaces the stock pipes and you fit a blanking pug (supplied) were the old dv was fitted.

There is a slight perfomance increase, once the car has been on the rollers for the other mods i'll post the exact performance. Oh Yes it does make a very loud whoosh!

When is the midlands meet? Does anyone know where i can get a new exhaust manifold with the capability of taking an external wastegate?

Cheers
