my power steering steering warning light stays on intermittently anybody got any ideas as it seems to come and go

Do a search, it's one of the more common problems and discussed often.

Steering Angle Sensor can fail

Altinator may be suspect

Wiring problems

etc, etc, the list goes on and on.

It could be the steering angle sensor , the power steering pump or a leaking power steering rack. The sensor is the most common fault though.
