Hmm, out of interest, I have a 1.9 PD on a 55 plate - is this a 16V or 8V - which is the most robust.

I have an issue with my engine. Sometimes, its as rough as a******s - truly terrible, to the extent it is so rough, it vibrates the accelerator and makes my foot numb - but this is only sometimes. It seeme that about 1 in 15 times it starts, it will run badly like this for the duration of the journey but when I stop and then start again its perfect again.

Any ideas?

Vauxhall and Renault also suffer DPF issues. A workmates Signum was in for six weeks while they were trying to sort that out.

Add Citroen to that as well.
