windows x64

Featured Replies

Do the various flavors of windows 64 bit need specific 64bit modem drivers?

Ta

Yes , in general you will need 64-bit specific drivers.

Yes HTH ;)

However - windows will probably have a few standard modem drivers that can drive some Hayes-compatible modems. Who knows :D

****!

next question... does anyone know of a GSM modem that has x64 drivers?

Ive bought one for my SCOM RMS server to do txt notifications, but ive had to use a generic modem driver and its a bit hit n miss

Good luck. You might get further with the 3g data cards.

How about an old Nokia phone that supports AT commands? 6310, for example?

Yes, the problem is the latest batch of 3g cards tend to use a NDIS interface rather than a modem interface... I have a Option Icon 225 HDSPA usb at the moment, it has modem interfaces, but they dont seem to work with the AT standard properly and it doesnt play nice with apps trying to send SMS through it.
