Very true. Also the rubbing down after you've sprayed it before you lacquer it is a real pain as invariably you rub down to the primer on certain bits!

The chrome surround was done by a spray painter friend of mine;)

True but it was just a once off....the job is quiet do-able.

IMO its a case of waitnig and making sure the paint is no longer 'soft'(if that makes sense) before you refit the surround to the grille.
