You just need the new Dashpod.

Dear VRStu

I come from Taiwan. If I want order the Dashpod. How to order?

The Dashpod part's number ?? for Octy II combi 2.0 FSI .

I change Dashpod no need VAG-COM setting some thing ?

Thank you :)

The part number will depend on the chassis number of your car. You should contact your Skoda dealer and see if they can help.

is it that easy to get maxidot? wow i may consider that mod, just simple pod swap?

The pod contatins the immobilisor so it does need a little bit of coding as well.

after deciding to keep the octy and sell my furby i too want this mod. Just phoned local skoda garage, bickertons, to be told it will cost over a grand! The pod is 700 itself, and they wont know which to order, its trial and error as the code for my chassis no. Indicates a non maxidot display. They did say only 1 other person has had them do it, but he supplied the pod. Thats that mod out the window for me then. Ps, sorry for the one long sentence, but im doing this on my N95 at work.

So if it's £700 for the dash pod from them, where do they factor in the other £300 + to make it over £1k?

Fitting? Coding? Sheer profit? God knows :(

30 mins labour for fitting, so even if they charged an hour that isn't £300+

£300 - Fitting and smoking crack ;)

My dealer wouldnt even give me a price to supply and fit the maxidot dashpod . I asked them when my car was in for its service how much it would cost to have the maxidot and the columbus navigation system installed . Told me that it was not possible to retro-fit these items on the advice from skoda uk . When i told them it was possible to fit both they still said they would not go against skoda uk .. would an independant VAG garage be able to do the swap if req ?

You just ned to source the dash yourself and then have them change it.

Columbus can be fitted yourself.

Thanks stu:thumbup: . Are you still able to source the dashpods ? i may be looking for one in the very near future once i have my finances sorted:rofl:

Should be able to. PM me when you need one and we'll see if we can get one.

£1k to source + code + fit, guess im in the wrong line then!!
