Double Din for Octy II vrs and buying from US

Featured Replies

Evening all ladies and gents,

I have found a double din dvd player for my Octy VRS and was wondering if I need to get a facia adaptor and any additional ISO connectors, the DVD player is a JVC AVX810.

Also I have found a cheaper one from the US, but I assume all the connectors will be different and the radio frequencies will be different also?

Any help is much appreciated!!

The US will have the same connectors, but the radio will most likely not work in the UK. AM in the US uses different steps, same with FM. You will get some FM stations, but no RDS features.

Also in the US, the FM frequencies are even decial poinnts only so for example you couldn't pick up 105.7 but could get 105.6 and 105.8.

Thanks for that guys! I will have to think about that as I would be considering a DAB connector for it too and im sure things will get even more complicated then. It might be worth my while paying the extra £150 for peace of mind of UK stock.....

Does anyone know if a double din unit will slot straight in or whether I need an facia adaptor, also if I need iso connector attachment?
