SWMBO has a new car...

Featured Replies

She works for Stoneacre Fiat in Scunthorpe, and she has just purchased a new Fiat 500 1.2 POP.

Very nice car for the money, and im seriously considering a Sport version with the 1.3 Multijet Diesel in it...

Anyway, one thing i have noticed is that it doesnt have any switch for sidelights and its just dip beam and main.....i thought cars had to have a side light for MOT...

Or is it just the fact that if there fitted they must be white lights and work?

Also the jammy cow, 35 quid a year tax!

Id recommend the car to anyone to even test drive if nothing else!

Cheers

Nice cheap motoring, I really like them.

Yep, good MPG too.

I may wait until there are few more that are second hand as there still commanding top whack at the mo.

Sounds nice Syd, what colour? Any pics yet? :)

Seems strange about the sidelights too - does the manual give you any info?

Steve

Same happens on the smart roadster, as soon as ignition is on it puts headlights on , if the sensor thinks it is dark enough

The 1.3 multijet is a really good engine... i believe vauxhaul use it? Or am i getting confused with something else?!

Good little cars... would have one meself i think!

P.s. Guessing she got a good deal on it.. working for them and all?!

yeah vauxhall use it... and the 1.9 m/jet I've got... they put that in the vectra!

glad you like your new car, and get a few pics up! :)

any pics mate, I've seen a couple of these and are cracking wee motots, think Fiat is onto a winner with this.

Nice one - loved the original 500 and this is a tasteful repro of that with a modern slant. That worked for Mini, so if it stands up to reliability tests etc, I expect every street will have one soon...

...Just hope Fiat doesn't allow sale of them to Estate Agents! ;)

Love the 500. I'm waiting to test drive the Abarth:cool:

1.4 litre turbo / 135 BHP / 0-60 in sub seven seconds / top speed around 130 MPH.

Saw one today, it looked ace!

Looks like a great fun little car that will probably become quite popular.
