Central lock mounting

Featured Replies

I'm trying to mount a "cheap" central lock system to my fabia clasic, and now I have a couple of questions, which I hope that someone here on the forum could answer :)

I have the internal trim removed from the doors, and are looking at a metal plate, with window winder mechanics, speakers etc. mounted.

With the original central locking system from Skoda, where is the lock motor located on the doors? Behind the metal plate inside the door?

Is it possible to easily take out the metal plate inside the door (maybe complete with window etc).? And how is this done?

I have done a search on the forums, but I couldn't find any specifics regarding these two questions.

Thanks in advance

Thomas
