Few octavia VRS questions!

Featured Replies

Sorry I'll admit i didnt search first.. but im going to be looking for an octavia vrs in the next few weeks and have a couple of questions so thought i'd put them in 1 thread.. :)

What colours do they come in ? Ive seen yellow, black, silver and red.. was there a blue ?

How often are the services needed ? Still 10k ? Oh and when is it recommended to change the cambelt ?

Am i right in thnking the standard car has the 180bhp engine?

Is it a K03s turbo it uses ??

I know these will be covered many times before so please dont shout at me :)

Thanks

Dan

Now then Ninja, used to see you about on the Seatcupra.net I think;) I'm torn at the minute between VRS and another Seat Leon Cupra. Hope you get the answers you're looking for. How come the VRS is on your shopping-list now?:D

Hi mate yeah thats me :)

Ive got a 5 month old son now and need more space! His pushchair thing completely fills the boot of my ibiza!

Originally wanted a LCR but dont think the boot would have been any bigger!

Have looked at audi a4's and some vw's but for the money the vrs seems a much better option :)

I'm in a similar position mate. Wife is due in August, so want something that is practical but can still be fun as well. The boot on the VRS is massive, from reviews and comments on net as well, fuel economy seems to be better in general than other cars running same engine:)

Another one from cupra.net ;)

The MK1 came in the colours you mentioned apart from blue but there were a few ex police ones and the wrc edition coming in white.

The engine is an AUQ same as the LC so same service intervals and cambelt change as the rest of the 20v turbo engines

I am only aware of the colours mentioned

Standard service is every 10k - I believe you can go for variable and cambelt is 60k not sure on age if low mileage - 5 years rings a bell

Yep - and its great

Yes

Thanks

whats your budget?

there's usually a decent car for sale on here and one in particular right now is a silver mk1 1.8t 4x4running around 350bhp and has all the work already done to it in terms of brakes/suspenion but the owner wants 10k really but who knows what haggling could get ya ;)

a very and nice and extremely well sorted car there.

Thanks for all the replies people.. very very helpful :)

Not sure i can stretch that much bengie.. Have around 10k to get my car and one for the other half!!

Thinking i want one near standard or with minor mods and suspension done nice if anything.. Need to keep it sensible for the family car :)

Hopefully if all goes to plan i might be allowed a track car in a year or so!

thanks people :)

hi i have read your thread and i own a silver 54 plate octy which reluctantly i am thinking of selling it has 26000 on the clock and has been cared for by jabba sport no sus mods have been made and on jabbas rooling road was in excess of 220 bhp.It goes really well but as yourself i need more space as i have 3 little ones and another on the way!. At the moment i have a dodgy door sensor and that is the only problem i have ever had with it and i have owned it from new, thinking of gettin a zafira gsi as a compromise.Thanks.

The Leon boot will be fine. We have a 2 month old and fit a push chair and a weeks worth of shopping in my Wife's Leon. We upgraded from a Mini, so the boot would look huge anyway :D

Of course the Skoda is a very good choice, which is why I bought one of those

I paid 6.7k for my 2004 Silver Vrs

Hi how many miles had it done
