Is it a known problem that sky plus forgets series links if a show takes a break, and isnt shown for a week?

I'm having to set-up several links I had - including the F1.

Am I stupid in thinking that series link should skip gaps between shows and resume when they're back on the schedule?

Its a PITA!......sky + is simply the devils work.

Specific to a particular brand of box maybe? mines a shi77y Amstrad. Or maybe it's a firmware related issue.
