Well at last i have just bought a 10k mile auq engine to replace the one that siezed the top end due to lack of oil - long story.

So any tips for fitting anything that would be recomended to replace while i'm fitting. New parts etc

While the engine is out of the car, change the water pump, cambelt & tensionner etc - its only a few quid and such a doddle with the engine out.

May also be worth putting a fresh oil pump in for piece of mind??

Also maybe do the coil packs as you have no idea what they will be like on the engine if it has been sat out of the car for some time.

if you plan on tuning it then there may be other bits to look at..... i/c pipe work etc...

Get new engine mounting bolts and check the clutch.
