Following from the recent discussion of GT5P and other upcoming games (Grid), I started looking at the various seats out there to give a more immersive feel when using a proper wheel.

Initially, I looked at the playseat. Looks nice, but I was put off by having to buy the extra bracket for the G25 gear shifter. And although the rear of the seat folds away partly for storage, it still takes up a big footprint.

Reading up on AVForums where there's a similar discussion, I came across these people who make the Rinoseat. here Also worth having a read at this long thread here. Lots of photos and comparisons.

Now it doesn't look that sexy - no serious bucket-seat, but it's practical, folds away so that it can fit under a bed and I love the idea of having the steering column linking to the seat in such a way that the force feedback is transmitted to the seat So when you go over a bump, it's the wheel+seat that judders, not just a wheel The guys have spent a lot of time analysing the market and then designing something that looks like it's exceptionally effective at a cheap(ish) price - €200 inc delivery so under £150.

If other people find other stuff out there, please do post as I haven't placed an order yet, but rinoseat are top of the list.

That looks good Xav, I like the fact that it folds away alot! Anyway, you don't really need a bucket seat if you're not actually driving a real car. There's no lateral forces playing GT5 (yet!)

Cost is €199 + €50 shipping = €249.
