Cleanest exhaust emissions competition

Featured Replies

Just had my MOT (luckily fail only on brake pipe and wheel bearing adjustment) and noticed the emissions are quite a bit lower than last year.

Thought it might be fun for all those of us who are given the emissions test report to post up and compete. Unfortunately there's no prize, as to send it would increase carbon footprint more than the winner would be happy with

Here's mine, I guess it's not bad for a 14 year old engine with over 100k miles.

Skoda Favorit GLXIe, 1.3l 136b engine.

Fast idle: CO: 0.12%; HC: 7 ppm

Natural idle: CO: 0.12%

Well, mine got through a smoke test. That in itself is a feat! :D

Fabia 1.4 MPi 35,850 miles (last junes MOT)

Fast Idle CO - 0.002%: HC 1 ppm

Natural Idle CO - 0.005%

Am I winning?...lol

Will this be on the MOT cert?

I remember that my little red Toyota Starlet used to register zero on both the tests...and it wasn't Hydrogen powered...
